DYSFUNCTION (ED) | IMPOTENCE

ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ED/ IMPOTENCE
Erection problems are very common, particularly in men over 40. It's usually nothing to worry about, but you should see a GP or Pharmacist if it keeps happening.
This is usually due to stress, tiredness, anxiety or drinking too much alcohol, and is usually nothing to worry about However, if it happens more often, it may be caused by physical or emotional problems, and you should seek medical attention for advice and potential medication.
Medicines such as sildenafil (Viagra) are often prescribed by doctors but are now also available at the Pharmacy without a prescription. But you will have to have a consultation with the pharmacist to make sure it’s safe for you to take it. There are also other medicines available such as tadalifil (Cialis) and vardenafil (Levitra) that work in a similar way, but these will require a prescription.

Where ED is situational and associated with emotional and personal stresses and concerns, counselling can be effective. ED drugs are sometimes used as an adjunct to counselling until problems resolve. The Pharmacist will again be able to advise and refer as relevant.
